Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 17, 2026 · Applies to the CashFlow Android application ("the App"), published by palmer.technology ("we", "us").

The short version

Your financial data stays on your device. CashFlow has no accounts, no cloud storage, no analytics, and never asks for bank credentials. We — the developers — cannot see your budget, your balances, or anything you enter, because none of it is ever transmitted to us.

1. Information the App stores (locally only)

Everything you enter — income and expense entries, balances, tags, goals, check-in confirmations, logged spending, settings — is stored in a database on your device, accessible only to the App. It is never uploaded, synced, or transmitted to us or any server we operate. Deleting the App (or clearing its data) permanently deletes this information.

2. Information we collect

None. The App contains no analytics or tracking SDK, requires no registration, and collects no personal information. We do not know who uses the App or how.

3. Third-party services the App uses

4. Exports are yours

The App can export your data as a CSV file at your explicit request. That file is created on your device and handed to the app or destination you choose via the system share dialog. Where you send it — and its security from then on — is under your control.

5. Notifications and permissions

Optional reminders and low-balance alerts run entirely on-device and require the notification permission only if you enable them. The optional App Lock uses your device's own screen-lock mechanism; the App never sees your PIN or biometric data. The App requests no other sensitive permissions — no contacts, no location, no SMS, no accounts.

6. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them (we do not knowingly collect information from anyone).

7. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. A material change (for example, ever introducing analytics — which we do not plan to) would also be called out in the App's release notes.
